Here in the county where I live in Iowa we had a Game Warden named Slotterdyke years ago. Should have been Slotter Dick. They can do their job without being a DICK, but not him. He had THAT reputation. One day he sped down my Quarry driveway like a bat out of hell, turned around and left. There is a sign posted where he came in that said...ALL VISITORS STOP AT OFFICE. The sign was required by the Mining Saftey Health Administration from the Federal Government. They would fine me for noncompliance if people didn't stop at office. I called Mr Slotterdyke and informed him that his authority did not superseded the Federal Government's and that if he pulled that shit again the driveway would be blocked and he would not be able to leave.

I have always respected the law, but he didn't deserve it. Even when I was a teenager and for some reason unbeknownst to me when the po-lice stopped me in my car, I was always respectful, unlike the morons of today.

Another time a deer hunting party I was with was stopped by a different Warden. Decent guy, checked our licenses, ect. Wanted to know who and where the other 2 guys were as the watched us from the road push a timber. I have never seen a Game Warden off the road. I really didn't know a couple of the guys names but they were lying low in the woods. One using a 30-30(illegal) and evidently the other didn't have a license. I was legal. After holding us there for an hour I walked away and said if you're not charging me I'm out of here. Only lived up the road a half mile. I left.

The last interaction I had with a Game Warden was when an obviously sick bald eagle was in my Canada goose pen-pond. I called him on a Sunday and he and his daughter came out. I didn't know him but friends had said he was a fair guy. We caught the eagle and he let me know how things went at the raptor rescue 60 miles away. Just doing his job.

Excellent video! No question that the arresting warden should never be a person in charge of authority. Further, it appears that there are some problems higher up the SCDNR chain as well. Hopefully Shane will win his lawsuit and some heads will roll. The way Shane was treated should not happen in the USA. I back the honest badge . I detest crooked law enforcement like what the body cams clearly shine a light on in this case.

After the game wardens muted their body cameras they should become ex law enforcement. Law officers need to abide to the law - rules even more so than the general public.
