I hate snakes! But this one recently took up residence at my home and I'm starting to like it! :D

Who did the paint, and what kind of action? With all of the snake named actions that Stiller makes, I think that the combo would ba a natural.

Al, now THAT is very, very cool.

Exceptional paint job. I think we have a GOTW candidate here!

Tell Jerry Stiller he needs to build a Diamondback show-gun with appropriate "camo":

I would imagine it was a water transfer job cleared over. They are getting pretty amazing with what they can print up in water transfer material now days. We used to spend hours on end to airbrush prints, now they can get a similar job in one dip. Looks good, Kav

Yes, it's a water transfer print. I've had three stocks done this way lately. To me, there is still nothing nicer than the work of talented artists/painters like Kav, Suz Ware, etc.

In two of the cases, weight was a real issue and the water transfer process allowed a trick look with very little added weight.

The stock started life as a Bruno/McMillan. Other components are a RB/LP R.F.D.action, PacNor 1:18 barrel chambered for the,yep:))30BR. The kicker is that this gun is a 10.5 lb. Light Varmint class rifle whereas most of the 30BR's on the firing line are 13.5 lb. Heavy Varmint class guns. It's also a bolt in...no glue in bedding. It's sole purpose is to explore the limits of .30 cal. accuracy by going head-to-head with the 6PPC's in Group events. Will a perfectly balanced 10.5 lb. 30BR be capable of 'running' a condition....5 well aimed shots in under 20 seconds? Well...we're going to try and find out.

BTW, the gun isn't mine..the stock work was contracted to me. It's owner is a very well known name in BR circles and a most capable shooter.

Have fun and good shootin'. -Al
