Smith suggestion for 30BR Barrel please

I'm looking to get a 30BR barrel for my Origin action. Seems many smiths don't own a reamer for that caliber.
So if you have a 30BR what brand barrel did you go with and who's your smith?

Thanks!

Lots of good smiths out there but there are also lots of different reamers. I'd ask about THEIR reamer(s) and make sure you get what you want there. Talking to Randy Robinett is never a bad idea about reamers for a 30 BR.
As for barrels...lots of good bbls out there too. 17-18 twist works good with most bullets being used for br work.
I hear ABC is near ready to make bbls again and his bbls are phenomenal imho. Can't usually go wrong with a Brux, Kreiger,Bartlien etc either. We are blessed with good bbls and actions but for the most part...long lead times right now too.

He’s not building anymore. But lots of good ones out there. I actually coincidentally got reamer advice from Randy robinett just like was previously suggested in the above post. Ordered the reamer from Kiff at PTG and gave it to my smith.

I hear that alot. The gentleman I was going to use dosent own a 30BR reamer. "Not much call for it" I was told.
My fear is using someone who isn't familiar with the caliber.
That's what I was gonna say. If he doesn't see much call for a 30BR reamer, he may well not do a lot of BR level work. Even the hard core ppc/group smiths do a lot of 30BR's...in most cases, but not all maybe. Is it a new action or do you currently have a bbl on it in a different chambering?

Ronnie Long in SC is definitely familiar with the 30BR. He is building very accurate rifles again, unfortunately he is getting pretty well back logged, someone must have a big mouth .I would definitely recommend at the very least a phone call to him. He has an absolute wealth of knowledge on the 30BR.

One of my customers volunteered to test my Wilson 10 twist in 30br. Not for benchrest competition, but I bet it still shoots pretty darn good. We will see.

Making Origin shouldered prefits is pretty straightforward. I was pretty amazed to find out how simple it was once I had the fixtures to measure.

These are Kelbly thread. But same thing. These are within 2 tenths of headspace.
