small ring below sholder

Just noticed a few once fired factory Hornady cases that had this small ring below the shoulder. 6.5CM in AR platform. any thoughts on what this is?

cases have been FL resized so not sure if it happened during firing or sizing.

If other pieces of fired brass have that ring it’s probably from the chamber having a mark in it from the reamer. Look in there with a flashlight and see maybe? And take a look at the inside of the die

Last time I saw that (last 2 times, actually), it turned out to be scuffing caused by the ammo box rather than firing. Do those marks line up with the top of the dividers in your ammo case?

Found the culprit, it was the debur tool. it was contacting the case and making that small scuff.

My cases all get a ring round them from ridding in ammo boxes. The top edge of the hole in the MTM box rubs a little ring mark on them. Rough road to the range helps too.
