small rifle primers - CCI BR-4 users - What is your second choice?

Switched to Rem 7-1/2s four years ago from BR4's . Never looked back . Did test the Ginex , and found a light drop in velocity , but nothing a click or two on the scope couldn't cure .

For the Fed 205M, 1280 to 1346, 66 FPS, seems significant. Am I reading it wrong?
Well, we have documented some small glitches in the Silver Mountain software. Sine the target is triggering to the sonic boom that is picked up by the microphones of the speed of the bullet at the target. I have noticed that I might get a shot that records 50 FPS slower or faster but hit the target at the same place as the other shots. Could it be a echo from the guy next to me shooting at the same time?? Don't know.

Some times you just need to take the high and low reading and toss them out.

This test told me that in a pinch I could substitute the primers without big difference at the target.

Take the data for what it's worth. I only did the testing for my knowledge.

I shared it for general knowledge.

Im a life long CCI BR4 user and would typically use nothing else. I put in an order for myself and a friend and I was supposed to get him FGMM and me the CCI BR4. But I bungled the order and got two boxes of FGMM. So I used a box of FGMM and saw absoultely no difference. So I'll be using FGMM from now on. The BR4s have gotten ridiculously expensive. About 30% more expensive than FGMM.

7 1\2 gave identical velocity as cci 400 in my 17 hornet. Did not compare es sd. The 7 1\2 is good in my 223 though. A br4 is just a 400 with higher QC is my understanding.
