.25-06 S+W 1500 with 115 Bergers and H4831. Just a Leupold VX-2 with a BDC reticle.snert said:Gun? Caliber? Scope?
Nice critter! Congrats
It won't be old school for much longer. Have a 27" McGowen coming that'll be chambered up in .25-06 AI bedded into a McMillan gamescout stock, PTG detach mag bottom metal, and hopefully I can talk Dave Kiff into making me a one piece bolt body with a tactical bolt know and fluting.snert said:A fine choice for goats! The quarter-bore is about perfect for them. Nice shooting with an old school rifle!

I'm sure you didn't mean that...
I don't mind dialing up, but my 6.5-284 or the .300 SAUM aren't quite ready for hunting season yet.MrMajestic said:Very nice Chappy! Don't like bullet drop do you? ;D

It more or less is a niche in itself. Do I need a .25-06 AI? No, but do I want one? Yes. It will just be used to punch holes through deer and antelope out a ways, just something fun and different.17VLD said:Nice! love the .25-06.Glad to hear that the Berger worked at that distance.
Been thinking about a .25-284 just for fun, wish more people made long range bullets for the .25 caliber.I think it fills a niche.
