Slower powders for the 6 x 47 Lapua

Has anyone tried the slower powders like Vihtavuori N560 or IMR 7828 SSC in the 6 x 47 Lapua? Looking at quik load it looks like they might be just the ticket.

IMR4350 is the powder I use.

I've had great success with Vihtavouri N160
Around 40 grains with a 105 bullet.
Velocities are around 3070 fps with a 30" barrel

vv N160 is a good powder for the 6x47L, I have good luck with IMR4350, they are almost the same.

rel 17 works wonders in my 6x47 lapua pushing 80 fowlers.

Howdy !

I have used RL-22 and IMR 7828/7828SC in my " Deep 6 " wildcat, which has case capacity in
the 6XC - 6X47 range.

Vel is slower than some might like, but accuracy of the RL-22 loads w/ all 6mm bullet wt's
85 - 105gr has been superb ! One chareg wt seems to work for nearly all those target bullet weifghts, so for MY rifle... the Rl-22 load(s) have hit upon a "node".

Can't over-stuff the case when using I7828, and bullet sit atop powder w/ mild or no compression. ( My gun, my loads )

Forgot to mention....my rifle has a 29" Broughton 5"C"- rifled barrel.

Boat tail of 6mm 105MKs seated beneath shoulder/neck juncture of my wildcat' case.

Thanks for all the replys, I have ordered some N160, N560 and IMR 7828SSC also Wolf SMR and CCI 450's. I will do some testing and report back.
