Slip-on Scope Booster

Just received a 4X scope booster marketed by Bulz-eye (sponser on this site). Works pretty well at first glance. Seems to magnify about 2X with no loss of definition. There is a focus shift at the eye-piece ocular but it is an inexpensive way to boost a scope. Will post shooting results some time next week (with/without comparison).

I've been using them for 3 years with great results............

My 4X Multi-Coat makes my 20-50 power Leupolds almost 70 power and lets me see through the mirage.

I also have a nice 4x booster...thanks to Mike...I love the results I got with mine ...it's on my 36x weaver...If you can see it you can hit it!

I built my own using surplus lenses and boosted a Leupold to 112x. Yes, the mirage completely disappears and the groups shrunk by 33%!!!

I just ordered a Bulzeye optics booster and was told if your eyes were good the Bulzeye product wouldn't be as beneficial and may not help you at all. I was also told that if you had problems with eye fatigue or failing eye sight that you would fall in love with this product. I am under the impression that age has a lot to do with whether or not you can use this product. I'm on the right line of thinking here or not. Thanks, Brian.

Hope that is not true.......Really do not want to sell the 6.5-20 Leupold, but need more on the high end (without having to spend on the high end).

Not sure where you got the info on your eye's being good or bad to make this work, I have had people without glasses use one to try them and could not believe they saw .22 calibler holes in the black with a rifle scope.

It's an add on lens that depending on the one you buy will increase the scope image and let you get a great view of the mirage waves like you'd never thought possible. I run them (4X with an extender tube ) on my 50 power scopes taking them almost up to 75 power or beyond for F-Class.

Mike, I actually got my info from Bill at Bulzeye products and from everything I understand he's the one who owns the company. I placed my order about 1800 one evening and about 2130 I received a phone call from Bill who claimed to be from Bulzeye products. Bill asked me my age and I asked why he wanted to know because I was thinking maybe someone had gotten my information and was trying to steal credit information. After I finally told him my age he told me what I posted earlier and that's how that happened. I ordered one any way so I'm glad to hear that they work even with good eyes. I ordered one any way because I have a shooting buddy that has poor eyesight and thought that it might help him, but if they work as good as you all say they do then I may have to order another one. One more thing before I go I ordered the 4x eyepiece and Bill said that if it didn't work to send it back and he would send me a 3x and if that didn't work to send it back and he would make me a 2x and if that didn't work he would refund my money so if all that is true I don't see were I could go wrong. Thanks, Brian.

does the really high magnificatiopn help you see through the mirage or help to read the mirage?

In effect it does both, it's not the magnification that helps read it but the coatings on the 4X Multi-Coat booster. The mag. will let you see the different pressure waves of heat clearly, so I watch those and the wind flags to know when to let one go.

It best when there's next to no wind, the mirage will just disapear with a slight breeze for a second and .......bang.

Bill is the man, he's the one that got me hooked by sending me one to try as a proto type, it worked great and I've used one since.

It's not that they won't work to boost the sight picture, it's an add on lens that will do what is suppose to. The problem comes from trying to get your eye to focus the reticle and object at the same time, some work with 3X some with 4X. I had played around earlier in life with lens in the 7-10X range for boosting and never could get the reticle back to crisp without building a longer ocular focus tube.
