single stage presses

We never use TP here in Wyoming. We wipe on big warm Jack Rabbits. When we finish they just run away. No problem or cost involved.
First time I took my wife home to WY, we were driving along Hwy 34, the cut off from US 30 to Wheatland, when she dug her finger nails into my arm and said, “Look there’s one of those things”. She was looking at a jack rabbit and thought it was jackalope.

Hey, I get it and I grew up in WV! Had a great uncle that lived in Colorado. Visited him and his wife in the mid 50's. They had one mounted in their den and convinced me that it was an actual animal. When I went back home my mom and dad embellished the charade about how rare an animal they were. Was in my early teens before I figured out I had been duped.

what makes you think either one of those are top quality presses? the only mec we've got a report on was so crooked it was unusable out of the box. frankford arsenal is a modern day lee. if we're throwing opinions out there about the best press for the money i'd say its an RCBS partner. the millions of those out there in service for many years and still going is a testament. im not an rcbs guy at all but that's the best press for the money.
and i bought mine of 30 bucks. :)

RCBS Rockchucker. Nuf said.;)
And, Lee is crap. Wore one out in nothing flat doing Mil Spec 5.56 and 7.62 brass.
Rockchucker single stage gets the job done.
Add one of these and you're good to go. www.primercatcher.com (the green one)
Works like a champ.

"Nuff said?" LOL I like them too but I am sure there are other single stage presses out there that are very good. I like Foster and RCBS. I have few old Hollywood presses that were great in there day but a little old now.
Nor Cal Mikie- You guys can't even have guns in California anymore what are you doing on here?? :)
I'm busting your nutz bc I am from CA. (Central Valley) and it is terrible to see what the Dems. did to
that wonderful state I grew up in. Unrecognizable.... Stay safe out there. ;)

The first press I had was the big Herters O frame...still use it. If I need to form cases that's the ONLY press I use. I got the Rockchucker, OLD Forester, Redding turret, RCBS Ammomaster, and a couple Arbor presses. If you ever see an old Heters in good shape BUY IT. You can get a shellholder conversion to take RCBS shellholders cheap from RCBS.

I've had pretty good luck with my Forster Coax single stage I've had for a few years it's the model with the larger yoke on it.

I get it and I’m from Florida and I’ve never had a Jackelope before

Save your money for good dies and buy a Lee Classic Cast press. Great press made in the USA. The primer mess is enough for me to never own another Rockchucker. Personally I’m a Co-Ax fan and owner but they’re expensive and hard to find in stock. I’ve owned all three presses I mentioned. If I didn’t own a Co-Ax and couldn’t afford one I’d buy another Lee Classic Cast.
Have a Co-Ax and Classic Cast as well. Same thoughts.

Started with an RCBS Jr in 1979. It still is used for depriming, using a Redding universal depriming die. I went to a T-7 Redding for the joys of switching back and forth between dies without winding in a new one, taking it out, putting in another...

Love em both

I have a Rock Chucker with a Lock-n-load conversion that I like a lot, smooth, tight, and powerful. For loading at the range, I have a Harrells turret and combo that work well.
