single stage presses

what makes you think either one of those are top quality presses? the only mec we've got a report on was so crooked it was unusable out of the box. frankford arsenal is a modern day lee. if we're throwing opinions out there about the best press for the money i'd say its an RCBS partner. the millions of those out there in service for many years and still going is a testament. im not an rcbs guy at all but that's the best press for the money.

An A2 is head and shoulders above a rock chucker, mine was made in the 60's and I gave it to Jim Hardy when he was alive. I have a cast-iron Lee that good and a Redding that good but I size on a Redding co-ax. There are a lot of good ones out there, but think the A2is at the top and if you get the ones that were made to make bullets on are among the best..... jim

I still use an old RCBS Junior from the early 70s. Even went through a garage fire over 20 years. Still does all I need with my RCBS competition dies. I too do not use the primer arm. Like my 15 yr old. Lee hand one better. I load approx 1000 .308 round a year.

I use 2 presses. RCBS Jr2 and a Forester Co-Ax Love them both for my skill set. But 9 presses I think I would forget where I left my dies. Nice Loading Room.
