single shot follower for savage in 6br

Any single shot followers aid in the feeding of a 6br. I have to feed the nose of the bullet into the chamber otherwise the nose bottoms out on the barrel.

yes. Go to sinclair and order one.All of my rifles of all different calibers feed great with singleshot followers. I use score high products.

What I did was to build a small shelf of epoxy, about 1/2 inch to bring the rise in the single shot follower closer to the rear. This allows the case to lift earlier in the chambering cycle and getting the bullet nose high enough to chamber easily. Works with 105 VLD and also short bullets such as 70 SMK.

I did the same that Jim did: built up a pad using JB Weld that raises the point of the bullet sooner in the feed cycle. Every round chambers smoothly with no contact on the face of the barrel.

i went a slightly different route.

i made a wooden block with a ramp and used a rasp until it was the right shape. then i used double stick tape to hold it in place while assembling the rifle. works well though it does pose other problems with solvents soaking in . i sealed it and it works well. hope this helps
