Took delivery of my rest a couple days ago and I'm quite pleased with the overall quality. Everything is machined very nice and works very smooth. The only problem I have with mine is the stop is too short. When the front of the rifle is elevated, the stop does not contact my stock. I have the reinforced Edgewood bag, so that might be the problem. To fix it, I simply got a 1/2" longer 1/2"-20 bolt and made it fit.

During development we were hoping to be able to have one forend stop assembly that would cover both styles of rest tops we offer. Our initial testing of the new adjustable forend stop with the Edgewood front bags went well so we ran with it. Since we started shipping the rests last week we've gotten more than one report of the forend stop being too short for use with the Benchrest Top / Reinforced Edgewood combination (I should also mention that there are zero issues with any of the current Protektor front bags since they are about an inch shorter). We have a fix for the issue that will be available for shipment in a week or two. If you have one of these new rests and are using an Edgewood reinforced front bag, please call or e-mail and we will ship the replacement bumper out as soon as we have it in stock.
I agree that the fore end stop is to short with the reinforced Edgewood bag on the benchrest top. I for one will be needing the taller front stop.
I would also suggest users to adequately lube the threaded portions of the base plate when installing the legs since even though Sinclair has chased the threads of powder coating some remains making initial installations of the threaded legs a bit rough. I used lubriplate and ran them in and out a few times to solve the problem. In fact a little lubriplate on all the threaded surfaces when assemblying isn't a bad idea.
With the reinforced Edgewood bag filled with Sinclairs heavy sand my rest tips the scales at 31 pounds 2 ounces if anyone is interested. Being as compact as it is however makes moving the rest very easy considering the weight.
Now if it would just stop raining for me to road test it at the range.

A good friend of mine just got one at the super shoot. I have shoot off of it, and I must say it is very nice. The controls are very user friendly. The thumb and index finger controls the rear speed screw. and you can take the rest of your fingers and roll the windage. You think it would take some time to get use to this, but it is very natural feeling. His also has a problem with the stop being too short. He has a Protektor bag, and out TM stocks just about glide over it.
I noticed that Bill (From Sinclair's) had one on the line and it had a magazine attached to it. (Though he did not use it.) It looked to be a nice feature.

They are the only company that makes a rest in that price range that does not include a front bag. Whats with that, they ding you $600 for the rest and then want you to buy a front bag for $60 or $70.
