Front rest opinions

Finally got back home from work and assembled my target Shooting Model 1200 rest from Wally. Very nice :) :) :)

Very nice machining and everything locks up very solid. The windage it tougher to spin the knob, but once you let off it's not going anywhere! The elevation wheel easily handles heavy weight with ease due to it's ball bearing design. The battery stop for the stock is very nice and adjusts for any stock configuration. And man oh man does the stance of this rest sit Low and Wide! It is very solid platform. Gotta get the extra feet IMO. You couldn't use this rest on the ground without the feet because the spikes on the feet of the base are too sharp and would just stab into the dirt or a shooting mat without raising the rest.

Definitely every bit as nice as other high dollar rests I've seen. Though it's appearance is not as "flashy" as some others out there, it is still an extremely high quality piece of equipment. It's designs are simple and to the point making the controls very effective and solid. The beauty of this rest lies in it's simplicity and rugged design. Kind of like a Toyota truck :)
