Sinclair micrometer top seating

timeout

Silver $$ Contributor
Hello! I'm searching for opinions on the Sinclair micrometer top for a L.E. Wilson seater die. I have an L.E. Wilson without micrometer top. If anyone has used the Sinclair, versus the L.E. Wilson plain, or L.E. Wilson micrometer top, what do you think? I have the L.E. Wilson plain top and am just starting to get some loads worked up.

Been using the Sinclair micrometer tops with my 222 Rem. and 6ppc Wilson seaters since 1998 & am very pleased with them. No complaints or issues.

I guess i will be the only one that doesn't like them. i had one for my one Dasher die and found it too top heavy and the marks a re just marks and mean nothing and sure not a .001. I went back to my shims and gave the top away..........jim

Jim,
That is why there are different ways to go, I like it you don't ;D it's what makes the world go round, I tend to agree with you though, I like mine when fine tuning a load, but once found I often stick the factory one back in and lock it down as it isn't near as top heavy.
Wayne.

Thanks for all the input, it is greatly appreciated. I believe that I will buy one for working up loads and then lock the original down when I determine which load I am going with. :)
