Sinclair international ?

I've spent $20K plus with Sinclair since 1991. I used to write a check with a paper order, mail it on Monday, and have my order delivered to SC by Friday. Since Brownell bought them, service has fallen drastically and I have had my credit card compromised twice right after placing an online order. Twice. The only times that my card has ever been hacked. So, between bad service and compromised security, I am leery of ordering from them again. Too bad, because they have quality products and, at one time, the best service and most knowledgeable staff anywhere. I hope they can turn it around...soon.

Midway........well.......they just plain suck. I ordered from them 1 time about 5 years ago and it was the last. If i needed it and they were the only 1 to get it from, i would just do without.

Brownells/Sinclair a great supporter of our shooting sports....... growing pains ??????????. The whole industry in disarray for a few years. We all need to lighten up in these times.

I ship a lot of stuff, I make my money on the product, not the shipping cost, I try my best to keep shipping cost down for the customer, USPS and UPS are all ready out of control, makes me sick to spend $10.00 shipping on a $5 product.

Well,
If you sell inexpensive items, the shipping will be high compared to the item price. You just can't get around it.

We have both ends of the spectrum involved here. On one hand we have Sinclair, Brownell, Midway, even Bruno, who make little themselves , instead they get items in bulk to sell and ship individually. They are retailers. On the other hand we have Butch and other smiths who run a lathe, a mill, a machine and sells and ships those items one at a time. These guys can't afford to hire someone at minimum wage to package, wrap, and ship one off works of art. Instead they shut down the machines and go about the mundane task of shipping. There is no real solution to this scenario. It is what it is. Can or should Butch and the other artists wrap and ship for free or at a loss? No. Perhaps it would be more palatable if they quoted a price including shipping depending on location or history.
