Sinclair Concentricity gauge

I like the Sinclair. Bought it first, then bought a 21st Century when they first came out, this model doesn't have the wheel to spin the case, and I found it hard for myself to spin the case without affecting the reading. I sold it and continued with the Sinclair as it does what I'm trying to do and I'm not all that worried about run out anymore.

Just the opposite with me. Bought the Sinclair a few years ago (that after I made the mistake of buying a Hornady Con Gauge) and never really like it because of the very reason LRPV says his 21st Century did. So I broke down and bought the 21st Century with the wheel and found the wheel was not to my liking. SO I now use my finger to "roll" casings and it easier and very reliable. I also found the 21st Century not only more reliable, but easier to adjust than the Sinclair ever was.

fwiw,
I've owned a Sinclair for years mounted with a Starrett Dial Indicator... I've since learned a few things(almost exactly three;-) about metrology and the concentricity gauges themselves. I now run an Accuracy One Concentricity Fixture with an Interapid Indicator...

Regards, Matt.

The Accuracy One and Premier Accuracy systems both impress! The latter doesn't have the wheel drive, or the range of configurations, but it allows you to tweak the loaded round into compliance, whereas the former is just an indicator. I think I want both! But, I'll live without either.

I've got a 21st century without the wheel. It's touchy, but well made and perfectly useable (the wheel looks like a nice addition). I can't see spending more than that. As it is, my rounds all come out the same anyhow, so it's basically a QA step that I do to make sure there's nothing amiss with my die setup.
