Simple question.... hopefully simple answer

A question on the Bix and Andy trigger...... Is the one you want the model with the adjustable sear engagement and no safety? If I get some answers, I will place the order some time at the end of the week. Thanks to all for looking this thread over.
Looks like this has been gone over a good bit. I shoot 28 inch HV contour and you can’t go wrong with a Wheeler stock.

Hey Bart,
I have looked your rig over in the write up that broke the record. Is there any particular reason you went with a Jewel over the bix? Thanks for looking.

No both great triggers!

Agree with Bart with one addition. My Box and Andy has been fussy with function and minor debris. It also came loose and caused a variety of issues I did not react to fast enough. You can actually get them under 1 oz. if that is important to you.

Never have I had the same issues with my Jewel triggers. As for weight, I have always had reliability in the 1.5-3 oz. weight range.

^^listen to this guy^^

I was in the same situation as you awhile back. First 6mm. Bart made my decision on barrel selection very easy.

Noticed that a simple question has gone to 2 pages. Go figure ;)

Update...... Trigger ordered!! I went with the Jewell BR. Honestly I just couldn't make myself pay 400+ for a trigger. Guess now on to the action or stock. I'm thinking bat B for the action unless someone can enlighten me. I am all for it as for this page I guess. I hope a lot of people are learning like I am.

Here are my 2 cents Nature Boy.... You guys are full of knowledge for a up and starter. It is a learning process and a lot of guys are here to help out. I greatly appreciate it. When this post was made a sticky I sort of hoped that the journey of making and building this rifle could help others that thought of doing the same thing. There had and has been a wealth of knowledge spread thru these couple pages. I hope it continues. Thanks for contributing .

My new 6bras are Heavy varmint at 28"!!! I had no idea everyone else was running that same config.
I figured out quick everyone was running this set up because it took me a while to find a barrel. You can find every configuration except the HV 8 twist. But perseverance paid off. thanks for looking and contributing

Oh, by the way, if someone runs across a used bat B, or any bat that is left bolt, single shot, give me a yell. I have found a few new ones on Brunos but not quite what im looking for. thanks

Try finding a 1:12 twist HV in stock.....lol. It seemed like I could find nothing but 1:8 when I was looking for for a premium barrel. With help from the forum I finally tracked down a Bartlein 1:12 HV.

Borden Rimrock BR or BRM and have Jim put it all together for you.

I have had discussions with some guys that said the exact same thing. Great minds I reckon and such. Thanks for the advice. I’m most def going to give him a call.

Ok guys, Im back. Just for anyone following this thread, I have ordered my action.

I have talked to a few of you fellows personally and got all of your opinions. They all helped me tremendously. With that info, I called Mr. Jim Borden this morning. I talked to him about what I needed and he and his knowledge abounded. He asked as many questions as I did and we came up with a solution.

So, I have ordered a Borden BRMXD with mini port. It will be left bolt, left eject, right load. It will have the picatinny rail with 20 moa. The wait will be about 5 months.

I will be sending him my Jewell BR trigger so he can blueprint, tune, and apply to my action.

I am about as excited as a kid in a candy store right now. It was a absolute pleasure talking with Mr. Borden today. For him to take time to and talk about all the things I had questions about was about as good as it gets.

Hey guys, it is getting closer. I will shortly begin to look for my stock. I think it may be a little easier. I feel like I am in the home stretch now.

Thanks for looking.

I think I am going to put this thing in a fiberglass ( advice from Jim) stock. I really like the Shehane style. While never been behind one I really like the look. And everything I have read they are real performers.

Opinions?
