I make my own equivalent of Corrosion Block with a mix of 70-90% of ATF and 10-30% of Naphtha, depending on how thin a coat of lubricant you want. Once you read the Safety Data Sheet on these products it is easy to replicate at a much lower cost.

Thats impressive, but how do you get "ATF" out of this:

If you look, you'll see both mainly contain "hydrotreated neutral oil" In the case of ATF, their are also friction reducing additives specific to the function of the automatic transmissions, but they don't do anything bad to your gun.
