SigSauer brass

Has anyone used this brass? I am wondering about it compared to Lapua. Thinking 6.5 Creedmoor.
Thanks.

It's not the equal of Lapua but it's pretty decent brass. I formed and fire formed some SIG .270 Win brass into .280 AI and it did well. Did not lose a case during forming and fire forming, but it is not as durable as Lapua. Pockets started loosening up after 8 cycles or so, which isn't bad. From a cost perspective, SIG is about half the price of Lapua and it lasts about half as long. The economics are a wash. Lapua is more consistent.

To have a different headstamp from the Lapua brass used for my 358 Win., got some SIG in 308 to expand for a 338 Federal. Using a tapered expander, the 1st 50 pieces necked right up one swipe without loss. The 20 pieces I'm using for load development (mild to semi-wild) are on their 11th firing without any loss. No complaints.

That is the most definitive answer we have and settles the question. Is the plant in Jacksonville, Arkansas?
