6br brass

Measuring the wall thickness of several pieces from a just opened box yielded a range of .0124” - .0131”
I just measured a new box of Lapua and they run anywhere from .0111" to .0136 that's difference of .0025". What's really not good is some of these cases measure .002" plus on the opposite side of the neck! This is been going on for years. Nothing bad, that a little neck turning doesn't remedy. I haven't seen brass that's within a tolerence of .001" in years. I measure necks with a ball micrometer with a resolution of .0001".

I did have to remove a small OD burr on the Peterson neck faces to permit the ball micrometer barrrel to make full contact on the neck...

I use Lapua & Peterson 6 BR for 6 BRA, have had some loose primer pockets with Lapua after 3-5 loadings, ZERO with Peterson after 8 loadings, primer pockets Still Tight, loads are 20-40 fps Faster in Peterson Brass, using 29.0 -H4895

I've been shooting alpha 6 Dasher I've got about 8 loadings on it and it's holding up great. I tried Peterson but the reduced case capacity won't let me get to 3000fps node before showing pressure signs
