Sightron Reticle?

I m going to be buying a S3 10-50 for shooting F/TR out to a 1000yds and am debating on what reticle to go with? I am use to Target dot on my bench rifle but am wondering if I should go with the LRTD or the LRMOA.

What do you all think?

I love Target Dots in my F-Open rifles>>>>But not all of them have them.. In my humble opinion, the NightForce CH3 reticule is TOPS in my book... But like anything else>>>everyone has their own preference(s)...

I have two 10-50 sightrons. one has fine crosshair one has target dot. I don't shoot to 1000 yards but even at 300 the dot is to big for me. you may want to research the size of the target dot. it may not be an issue for you

out of curiosity, why have you selected a Sightron?

Last year I called NF and asked if they could change my 12-42BR from a dot to CH1 fine crosswire. They responded that they did not have that reticule available anymore. Several years ago I had a NX with that reticule and I found that I could hold off easier than with a dot.

Then I found the Sightron S3 10-50 with the fine crosswire, and bought one. I am very happy with it. Cheaper than NF too.

A club member let me shoot his target dot last week at 300 yards. I had trouble with it, just too big for me but I still shot a good group. But that is just my assessment, maybe my eyes. I think for hunting woodchucks it would work fine for me. Best to look thru these things if you can.

Probably because they are by FAR the best bang for the buck.

Get the fine crosshair, You won't regret it.

I compete with the LRMOA reticle in my SIII10-50X60

Love it and makes quick windage adjustments a snap.

I have several guns that compete with I cant afford NF on all of them my sightrons are just as clear and repeat perfectly I am sending one back to have the target dot removed and the LRMOA installed

Basically the bang for the buck. I cant afford a Nightforce. For my eyes I kinda find the LRMOA to busy but will have to see if I can look through one.

I have two and like the fine crosshair for F-class shooting the best. The dot is just to big at 1K.

I like my 10-50 SIII mildot, it has plain center crosshairs with dots beyond that..works for me
