Sightron-8-32x56-SIII Scopes

Are these scopes any good for competition? Yes I know a 50x would be better but they seem a little out of my price range still.
I've been seeing some good reviews of this scope and this site has a great price. Should I pull the trigger on this?

hmmmm........info that would have been nice earlier today. :-X Oh well, it's only money. ;)

My gunsmith owns a Sightron 8x32, and he has moved it from one customer's rifle to the next customer's rifle untold times and had to resight each time. After three years or so, it operates like new. He also shoots it on his own 600-yard rifle and he is always very, very tough to beat.

It also depends on what you mean by competition. In NBRSA Heavy Varmint, Light Varmint or Sporter Class matches it is a bit heavy at 24 or 25 ounces.

Kinda interesting, I have been eye balling one of these (10-50) cause the price is better then NF and March but it still is a lot if they are junk:)

I've really enjoyed shooting with a couple of Sightron SIII 8-32x56s on a couple of my rifles - one a LR prone rig, the other a LR BR rifle. Optics are very, very good, tracking is excellent & repeatable, and the price is very affordable in today's market.

I've had my 8-32x56 S111 for a year or so now and can't really fault it. It's currently fitted to my Savage F12 in 6.5x284. I consider it good value for the price.

Here's a pic through the scope taken with my phone camera. The target is 100yds and about 20x.
