Does anyone have experience with the Sightron S-Tac 4-20 SFP scopes, and how good are they? These things would be on a couple small cal. varminters.

Fantastic scopes for the price point. They track well because SIghtron uses the same exac trac internals in the STAC as they do in the Siii and above. I set 2 National Records with my STAC. I "upgraded" to the Siii for more magnification and a little better glass to read mirage shifts as I shoot. I still have the STAC on another rifle.

I have 5, 3 moa 2 duplex. The moa reticle is hard to see sunrise/sunset while hunting. They make a illuminated reticle that would cover low light conditions. I use them(moa) for prairie dog and load development. Great scopes for the price point, a couple have been black Friday sales. Duplexs are on coyote rifles.

Is the glass good in low light? I'm thinking about a duplex for hunting in the fall

I have 4 of them. For the price tag can not go wrong. To my eyes the glass is clearer than a few of my vortex at around the same price range. 2 people i know have also bought them after looking through mine. I have not had any issues in low light. All mine are moa2 reticles. I have taken one of them out to 1,025 yards with no issues being able to see. That day ended up having bad heat marage, but it was even hard to see when that happened with a $2,500 scope i have also. I would not hesitate to buy another. Contact lancexxx on here. He gets them at a good price.

They ran a serious sale on them a year ago, I bought a 4-20x out of curiosity, I wish I would have bought more. It’s been a great scope.

That sale extended across to us in the UK too and I too bought one. (For a Howa Mini Oryx in 6.5 Grendel.) An ideal scope for range use in rifles like that. Can't comment on hunting / low-light situations.

I used mine (4-20X50 MOA2) last fall on my 7mm Rem Mag for deer hunting.
Turns out 4X is plenty when the deer come out about 50 yards away at first light. Lol

Also used the same scope on my 7mm-08AI for my first 600 yard F-Open match.

And my wife's rifle for my first Benchrest match.
( Note, with my old eyes, I still needed more magnification to see the bullet hole a 223Rem makes at 300 yards.)
