Sierra 183's

Wow! That is for the group and the awesome looking rifle. That pattern on the barrel is nice.

What stock is that?

Russell,

Have Dusty throw that on yours next time...I'd expect nothing less than my results with a barrel chambered by Dusty....I'm not sure exactly how many barrels Dusty has done for me now, but I've not yet had the single one that didn't shoot good, and several hummers barrels that were just lights out.

Preaching to the choir. He just put one my Borden action .308 F/TR rifle. I haven't taken it out beyond 200 yet. This is 5 shots at 200 yds, prone off bipod. The one hanging down at 4 o'clock is likely on me.

I need to check out that stock.

Is there any definitive word on how the BC of the 183s compares with the 180 Bergers?
Also, do they prefer to be jumped or jammed from what you have seen so far?

Since they are factory pointed, it would reduce a lot of work for the customer. On the other hand, I'd like to see a side by side BC test with both unpointed and pointed 180 hybrids.

My testing, not very scientific compared to Bryan's, shows a strong increase in BC by pointing the hybrid.

Just started testing the 183's. 2.6" 5 shot groups at 600 yards, in 10-15 mph winds at 30 degree temps. 56.6 H4831 SC shows promise.

Any further update on these from anyone? Wanting to try them in a 9 twist but am reluctant. 1000 foot elevation and up to 85 degree temps in summer but mostly mid seventies to 80. New barrel is sitting here. Next time I will go a little faster twist.
