Side Effect of Cleaning -- Scope Rail Attachment

I use blue thread locker and have never had screws come loose in over 40 years of shooting. I also use it under the mount or rail.
Exactly. And even then a little blue loctite goes a long way.

I don’t use anything. I have never had a scope rail or any othe mount come loose.

But then, the Rifles we shoot in competition don’t really have that much recoil.

Pretty much agree about red Loctite, with an exception.
Replacing an original style staked 1911 front sight, some red in the tenon, and proper staking,
pretty much guarantees it will never come loose. Could probably tow your boat with it.
Sure, it should also stay without loctite. Belt and suspenders.

Red loctite will come out as easy as blue loctite if you can apply heat.....that is the key...on 700 small screw bases..I have used. No issues.

I use a tiny drop of blue loctite on rail screws but that’s it.
