Show us your long-range predator sniping rigs (with details please).

Pmaurauder that is one of the nicest rifle looks I have seen in a while. The color and the long barrel with brake is ominous looking. What is the recoil like with the brake attached? I am curious as I want to build a bigger caliber sooner than later. Again, nice job and post your accuracy results.

Recoil is quite mild. Im shooting the 175 and 180g bullets and the rifle moves back about 2 inches. It does weigh about 16.5 lbs though. I will let you know my accuracy results...... im still trying to find a good combo right now for a antelope load.

This is my favorite. Savage LRPV with muzzle brake,1 in 9 twist, set in a Boyds thumbhole varminter stock. Its topped off with a Nightforce 5.5 x 22 x 50 mounted on a EGW 20 moa rail. This is the best shooting 22- 250 I've ever had and couldn't be bought at any price . I love this gun. Many PD kills at over 750 yds and I love it.

First up we have a Interarms Mark X mini mauser in 17 Remington. Shilen 25" barrel, custom stock. Rifle is bedded and trigger work performed. Action, scope base and stainless barrel have been parkarized. Scope is a Nikon Monarch 4-12. The 30 grain Kindler Gold bullet turns the 17 Remington into a 400 yard coyote rifle.

Next we have a Savage 12 20 BR. Sharp Shooter Supply 26" varmint barrel. B&C Duramax Stock, trigger lightened. Single Shot adapter installed. Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24 scope. The 40 grain Berger or 39 grain Blitzking make the 20 BR good coyote medacine out to 500 yards.

Next up is a Savage 112 223. Stock is bedded, trigger work performed and rifle is on it's second factory barrel. The scope is a favorite of mine, a Simmons V-Tac 4.5-14 with a range finding reticle that is also in the first focal plane. For long range work the 1-9 twist barrel loves the 75 grain Amax and Varget.

For those times when you need a semi-auto we have the Ruger Mini-14 Target. Rifle has a Hogue stock and barrel tuner. I have a 20 and 5 round magazines. Scope is a Sightron 4.5-14. Rifle loves the 75 Amax.

Here is the gun I built that killed the prairie dog pup at 1071 yards last week (described in another post) with my Schmidt & Bender PMII on top (I used it for load development). The inset is the unfinished stock I started with. I had to remove a lot of wood in the action area to finish it for the BAT MB action.

Well I was livin the Lite life. I Didn't get a beer break until 6pm on the first day and my eyes where sore the second day. So I made point to take a few breaks after that. ;D

Now the work starts got to reload 1300 rounds.

The thumb hole stock with the Hall is a Lee Six bench rest stock. Kelbly built a 6br years ago on the same stock when Lee Six was in business. Great stock and works well in the bags. He also made 1 just like it but with a rounded foerend. I believe the last time i picked up a rifle at Kelblys about 2 years ago he has the molds for his stocks.
