I thought I would be able to show off my latest Baity build today BUT when I went to get it the box it was in was very badly damaged, and when we opened it up the African Obeche stock was cracked with several bad scars. The break was also badly scared. Talked to the UPS claims this morning hope to here back from them by tomorrow. Already talked to Lenard Baity and Bill Shehane trying to get this BS fixed. I am not waiting on UPS to settle my claim, will just have it fixed and hope for the best. It sure looks good besides the damage that was done in shipping. I guess I will have to wait to show it off. :-[

That just sucks to Wait for a rifle to get done and have UPS or any service bust it up for you. Hope they get your claim settled fast for you. Was it in a hard case or just a cardboard box? I had a hard case broke in half on the last build but got lucky the barreled action was the only thing in it and was unhurt. best luck with ups. look forward to seeing your rifle.

Remington 40X, 6XC, Krieger 1:8" twist Medium Palma, X-Treme 2-stage trigger (had a Jewell when I took the picture), Robertson stock, Warner rear sight, Riles front sight.

That rifle has a 10 twist barrel on it. The wife uses it for prairie dogs and informal paper shooting. She shoots a lot of 80gr Berger's with 33.6grs of vv135 at 3410fps.

J it was in a hard case with a cardboard box around it. You can see where the muzzle almost came out of the case. Must have dropped it muzzle down. It is a 30lb. heavy gun so I think I will ask them after they repair it to ship it in 2 separate cases, I think it will stand a better chance of getting here undamaged.

jkoler, that certainly look's like a BAER and it's a two piece, the silver plate in the middle is loosend by those big knob's and comes OFF. i've owned one for 12 yrs. it's a nice rig!!

Thank you Wayne. Jim Borden did the action,barrel work and trigger work, terry Leonard made the stock and i did the glue-in..the pictures really don't do it justice..if it shoots as good as it looks..i should be in business..I have a trigger guard and scope rings that will work on it..but its just too nice to skimp on so new polished trigger guard and rings on order..then i need some new cases..I really want a new Farley rest..when will this end..lol....

I know fire forming means nothing, But if any indication of how the rifle will shoot..wow..I shot a few groups boarding in the 100's just fire forming some cases in really windy conditions, with out flags..the tree's were just about blowing over. I was just fire forming and cleaning so i had enough stuff with me,did not take flags and it just was shooting down the same hole.
