Brutally powerful, accurate, and relatively rare the way I ordered it, I find this Freedom Arms 475 Linebaugh beautiful in its own way. Any hand-gunners out there?

wow that is one beautiful rifle. stout barrel. details? 2 triggers?

It's based on Jim Bridger's Hawken. 54 caliber 36" 1.125 straight barrel. The set trigger was the hardest part to get right. I pillar bedded the lockplate to the side. Bedded and glued the breech plug and pillar bedded the tang to the trigger plate. Barrel is removeable from the breech plug for cleaning. Also enlarged the tang and lock screws from 8/32 to 10/32. They are drilled at a angle. Ramrod tubes were reamed to .535 to use a larger ramrod. Barrel and breech plug are done in rust brown and I heat colored the rest of the hardware. I dovetailed a adjustable rear sight which Bridger's had a fixed sight. Added 10 oz of lead in the buttstock to help balance the heavy barrel. My soldering really sucks so I mig welded the trigger guard to the plate. Curly maple was colored using iron filings in Nitric Acid and then heated. French polished with super blonde shellac than 12 coats of tru-oil. Really didn't want a high sheen because it's a Hawken but now I am polishing and buffing it out. It's coming around now.
