Shout out to Vortex

This is the first product of this brand that has ever failed me, and they stepped up and quickly made it right. Less than a week after I called I had the new battery cap.

I have no complaints about either the product or the service, sorry that you had a bad experience.

I think I would quickly run out of products to buy if I expected them to never fail or break…in fact I believe that would reduce the options of buying anything to zero…
 
They built that company around warranty. I just took the bait when purchasing their scope. My elevation turret in pst II just broke. It got replaced no questions asked. In my march scopes nothing broke so far.
 
I have 4 Vortex scopes. Viper 6.5-24, Viper PST 6.5-24, DIAMONDBACK 2-7,
and now Golden Eagle 15-60. The Eagle is on my 6Dasher. I won the first 2 matches I entered with it. Placed 6th at Talladega in the 600 "warm up" match
591 29x. Love the Eagle!
None of my Vortex scopes have ever failed me.
 
I agree if you are living in a dream world, Stuff happens, my son had to send back his Night Force for repair.

And, sometimes we make mistakes like dropping the scope on a concrete floor. And guess what, they still fix it.

As for NF, I had to have a 20 minute call with them to convince them to issue an RMA. It was like pulling teeth. He insisted my base was loose ... on my Surgeon 591 action.
 
I've never had to use a Vortex warranty. I bought my first one about 12 years ago. They aren't always the best in their class, but they are a good scope at a fair price usually.

The way I was treated by Leupold customer service makes me really appreciate companies that doe it right.
 
I just got a Golden Eagle, zeroed it, then shot a 300 yd F Class match yesterday. Shot a 597-45X, tracking was right on, it did whatever I put on the scope.
I’ve got another Vortex, no issues at all. I have two NF’s they are great, but one has been in for a front end alignment. Dialing did not correspond accurately. They fixed it.
 
I have had lots of scopes over 60 plus years of shooting. Never had a warranty issue that wasn't handled, most with class and then the NF way( they did fix it). So through four Golden Eagles since they first came out, lots of shooting, lots of cranking......I have never had an issue. Now if you only purchase bottem of the line scopes and expect them to work line top of the line you should I guess, expect some disappointment . I think as an industry the scope folks take good care of us. Just for the record I recently purchased a NF Comp after years of avoiding NF. All those Comps on the line tell me something.
 
I just feel like parallax adjustment knob is down in my GE. I cannot get a sharp view at 300m anymore. Not a problem in March.

I love mine. I won't say it was a mistake when I scratched that itch
and bought my 10-60x56 March High Master, but it would have been
way cheaper to just have received in another Comp. But that March is
just so clean on them 400 yard deer targets, it's ridiculous !!

For what it's worth, I had never sent a scope in for repair until I bought
my first NF Comp. I had a left windage tracking issue with it. I sent it in
and had it back in two weeks. It was perfect after that. My only problem
was, NF said they found no problem to fix ?? I'm not buying that though.
After two years of getting it back, and a good 20 match's later plus all the
load work ups, it's been my most relied upon scope next to my Bushnells,
the GE I dumped, but only because it's glass was just not as clear and bright
as all my other scopes, and that includes all my earlier model Bushnell Elites.
 
NF told me the same thing, couldn’t find anything wrong with it. Uh, ok?
But was it fixed ??......I'll always assume that they won't let anything out in
the public eye, of any problem. All about marketing and reputation. But
as Jeff mentioned; You look down the line and more then half are using
the comps, and and the rest are a mix.....
