UPDATE
I went ahead and did those test . I measured head to datum of 3 fired cases , FL sized using a standard Redding die and shell holder making firm contact at the top .
Results are as followed
Fired cases = all 3 measured 1.620"
FL sized cases measured = 1.6095 , 1.611 , 1.610
GO gauge measures = 1.617
So my memory was pretty good on that ;-)
