?? ShotMarker | Sensors Specific to Target's Corner??

For those of you more familiar with the ShotMarker electronic target-marking system than I can make any claim to, can you please tell me if the four sensor modules are specific to a particular corner of the target?

I'm aware that the magnet-bearing sensor bases are different colors (TL TR LL LR) which makes me wonder whether each of the SM's four sensor modules is to be paired to a particular color base / target corner?

The sensors are color coded as well. The magnets will only orient in the correct position on like colors and in the location as designated in the instructions.

You could locate the bases in other locations but the sensors wouldn't face the correct direction or the cords would have to run out the side or top of the sensors instead of the bottom as they are designed. Now.. if the target would function like this, I have no idea. We swapped two cords once and the target wouldn't reliably read a shot.

The sensors are indexed to their specific color coded magnetic base by the notch created for the sensor cable plug. Other than that the sensors are all identical except in color. If one was to unscrew the base cap on a sensor and rotate the base 90deg then that sensor would index to a different base. The sensor hub (brain/ecu) would not know the difference if a different sensor was reindexed and put in a different position; the hub would assume whatever sensor was plugged into the 'top right' receptacle on the hub was actually in the top right on the target. Did I make that perfectly muddy?
