ShotMarker issues with some tablets?

My original question of this post was,

"Have any of you experienced issues with some brands of electronic devices used with the ShotMarker? I think I saw this someplace where folks were having issues mixing Apple with other brands but I was not concerned with it at the time".

From the response that I have received I can be confident that this is not an issue so I will look elsewhere for the cause of some operational issues that I am experiencing. At this point I think any issue that I have experienced is most likely due to my lack of my understanding of the technology and not with the SM system.

I have learned some addition additional information from your replies that is helpful. Thanks to all for your help.

I've been running MR and LR Matches for almost 3 years with the "Shotmarker System". I have not seen many issues with any one brand. The biggest issue most of the time came down to guys not knowing how to use their device. Cellphone's seem to have a little more issue then tablet's. But I think it really came down to the cellphone/smartphone trying to stay connecting with the cell service.
If the decive is cell capable, they seem to work best if you shut off the cell service first. So put in it "airplane mode" then turn the "WiFi" back on. Then hook that decive up to the "WiFi" signal.
We run a practice at a local Gun Club twice a month, that we run 3 or 4 channels at the practice. The reason we run that many channels is the systems are owned by different guys, and they want to use there system so they can take the data with them. The only issue we ever have doing this, is usually with a new guy and he does not understand which on of the WiFi Shotmarker signal's to connect too.
When you run more then 1 "AP" on the line, one have to choose which "AP" you want your device the talk too.

But if you guys are trying to learn this system and all the Shotmarkers you are useing are owned by the gun club, I would only run 1 "AP" on the line. It will make learning the system much easier.

After the last 3 years of using this system, I'd say that Tablet's just seem to work better then smartphone's. I also think there just a lot easier for everyone to see.
Most issues I deal with at Matches are just getting guy device to hook up. Most times when someone is have a issue, it's with their device not hooked up to the 'WIFI".
Another thing that helps with tablets, so to install a shortcut from the home screen. This really help the older guys that just are not big computer user's.
I'd guess when we first starter uning this system, I spent 80% of my time on the firing line, helping the same few older guys. But most figured it out after a few matches. So now after almost 3 years of running matches with this system, we don't have many issues.

Hope this helps.
