Back then, they tended to choke tight, due to the inferior components used (compared to today's hardened shot, cushioning wad cups, etc).
That old Model 500 that I talked about above is choked Full/Imp Mod, not much off of yours. It was great for passing shots on ducks, but your "aim" better be on!
BTW, you need to go whack a turkey with your dad's old Parker!
