Very nice!Hall action rechambered Broughton 1:8 twist , Not bad for a old barrel .
Yep looks like you bout got her in tune no doubt.10/30/23 shooting think I have this gun about where I want it . 6mmBR , 31gr Varget , 65 Gr Dlablos bullets . Hall action and rechambered Broughtion barrel. Next time I'll try score shoot with one shot at each dot . Reason for two targets is different size target dots .
Isn’t your math incorrect on your measurements? I see you are deducting 0.224” instead of 0.243” because you are shooting a 6mm BR correct? If so your groups are actually smaller than your measurements10/30/23 shooting think I have this gun about where I want it . 6mmBR , 31gr Varget , 65 Gr Dlablos bullets . No , I measured a single hole in the target and it was .224 or .226 even with a 6mm bullet so I used the .224 to subtract from the 243 bullets . I think that is the right way to do it . A 6 mm ( .243) bullet will not punch a .243 hole in the paper .Isn’t your math incorrect on your measurements? So my .150 group is really .131 ?No , I measured a single hole in the target and it was .224 or .226 even with a 6mm bullet so I used the .224 to subtract from the 243 bullets . I think that is the right way to do it . A 6 mm ( .243) bullet will not punch a .243 hole in the paper .
@ArtinNC Niice. I will be doing similar excercise once I receive my 1:8 22" rifle in January. I never shot such lights bullets in 1:8. maybe I should give them a try. I plan to shoot 90gr bergers at 100m.
May I ask:
what is your barrel length?
What is your seating depth at the right upper target on your second pic?
The barrel is a 6BR , rechambered Broughton 1:9 with a no turn neck of .272 and legnth of 24" . And I'm into the rifling .005 or just touching . I was fire forming the brass that I full length sized for the rechamber barrel . And shooting 65 gr bullets at around 2940 fpsIsn’t your math incorrect on your measurements?
