There doesn't look to be a whole lot of options on stocks for the long action Howa I'm going to build. Not wanting to go with a chassis. That doesn't leave me much to choose from. Looks like my options on something I like are the B&C M40, a Stocky's M50 or a Stocky's VG (vertical grip) carbon accublock stock. Between the three I mentioned, anyone have any experience with them or have any recommendations?
The rifle will be a Howa 1500 LA. It'll have a 26" barrel (most likely a Kreiger or Bartlein) with a Remington Varmint taper. I'll have it chambered in 300 WSM. It will be mostly be shot from the bench, but would like to do some prone shooting as well.
I wish B&C offered their Target/Competition stock for a long action Howa, but..... No dice.
