Shop made floating reamer holder ideas?

Solid in tailstock? That tailstock would need to be aligned dead nuts the entire length of quill travel? Otherwise it may cut bigger and still be concentric? I'll stick with my pusher, lol
Nope just gotta be a tool and die maker. Then you would understand what’s going on

You can do this method on any lathe. Once you made the holder. It’s only good on that lathe. I like it better than a cheap floating holder.

It's not that I don't know what's going on, that's for sure.

I'm open minded and open to everyone's method and ideas. I found a way that works for me and not dead headed that is the best possible way. I take in from all...

So, if you would so kindly expain your method and process, it might help out many people that read it.

I'm not a tool and die maker, but I certainly have done precision grinding and tool making...so I can follow what you say.

When I get home. Your right, on the tailstock ram spindle. Guys that beat up a machine. Yes, it would be bad idea to use a solid holder method.

Thanks for the explanation.

The last several barrels that I have done...I used a JGS holder with great success...tight Chambers with next to zero run-out. In the vid...I moved the indicator in several areas...all with no movement. Reamed under a muzzle flush system.
