Shooting with earplugs-literally

Seen it on youtube and thought why not.
Works well out of my Gp100 44 special but have yet to get one to launch out of my Gp100 .357. 20' maybe a little less effective range. Just launching with a primer and no powder. Using some S&Bs i picked up for about $18 per/k at gunshow. By no means "accurateshooter" but fun in the backyard with my two smallest children. Wife has shot some too.

Wonder why they wouldn't exit the barrel on mine? It is a 6". I tried different profile earplugs too. I use earplugs day in day out at the textile mill so ready supply of the pre lubed lol (ewwww).

Lee loader and a arbor press but I can normally rechamber the fired brass no problem. I mostly just replace the primer.

I've got the cheap disposable ones. You don't want to completely eliminate ALL noise in case you need to hear somebody. They work fine. You can still tell the guns are loud, but not near loud enough to cause any hearing damage.

If it's still loud, are you sure you're wearing the ear plugs correctly?

you slightly missed it,,their using them for bullets, ear plug bullets.

I'm piercing srm primers, developing a new load, with these heavier projectiles.

Around 1968 a company use to sell a plastic bullets that would go into a .38/.357 case and was fired by primer only. They looked something like a wad cutter and came in a box of 50. If you had the right kind of back stop, loose towel, shredded cardboard, etc, you could reuse them. We used them around the high school to shoot pigeons nesting on the beams. Local police knew what we were doing and would come by and shoot with us.

Hmmm... perhaps foam ear plugs would be useful for fire forming cases?

A friend told me many years ago students at U of Florida used to have shoot outs in the dorm hallway with 22lr single action revolvers. Pull bullet from 22 case and dump powder, insert birthday cake candle trim flush with case mouth use other burning candle to seal wax over case mouth so recoil doesn't move candles in case. Primer propels candle (bullet). Be sure to wear motorcycle helmet, face shield, and heavy winter jacket.

I wish I could get something like the plastic ones in 308. That would make the 5kg airline weight limit cover a whole lot more bullets. 200gr projectiles eats that up in a hurry.

Pull the plastic ones and seat match ammo with a seater and arbor.
