Shooting Stool

A 3rd vote for Great Scott's shooting stool. Very comfortable, quick and reliable.

Frank

Make it a 4th or 5th. I've had one of Larry's stools for some 5 years and it is still working extremely well and comfortably, not to mention easy to transport and adjust. One solid puppy to say the least.

Great scott's stools are very nice. I hear the ones gunsandgunsmithing are selling are nice as well though i havent had the pleasure in seeing one in person yet. Both are great guys to deal with

My vote goes to the ROC N SOC drummers throne. They are NOT light in weight but very solidly built. Three legs are very stable , braced properly plus fold up to a fairly compact package. The hydraulic post is a convenience that I cannot live with out. And most importantly ,IMO, my arthritic hips and sciatica greatly appreciate the over sized and thick padding. Do not believe your back side does not deserve the luxury of a ROC N SOC drummers throne. Try one and I can assure you ,you wont go back to to the pine board .

My vote also goes to the ROC N SOC drummers throne. Look on eBay save money. Bought mine several years ago and still get offers for drummer school every 6 months.

+1 drum stool. A few years ago, one of our BR shooter discovered the drummer's stool at the local music store. The other shooters myself included Tried it and liked it. I guess I was about the 5th person to go into the music store and buy one. The clerk scratching his head, asked why so many people were buying drum stools but no drum sets ??:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Cheap drummers throne...$36.00 about 25 years ago...still ticking...been to ALOT of Matches 1

The problem with the hydralic stools, they eventually wear out and are not compact. Get a drummers throne. You can pick up a very well made Gibraltar for under $100.

I have had a Sinclair hydraulic stool for over 20 years with nary a problem. It breaks down into 2 pieces with a wack from a dead blow hammer. It has 5 legs supporting you so the chances of tipping over are nil. Not so with drumers thrones.

Well, I hate to disagree with Charlie but my Sinclair hydraulic is 25 years old. It has been sat on by some real big boys. Still works perfect. Quick and easy to adjust without the need to get off when adjusting. In the interim I bought 2 drummer stools and tried for a short time, lack of quick easy adjustability sent them both to the trash. Yep, the Sinclair doesn't fold up but I can live with that for all the plusses. All the guys with a fat Azz seem to,think they need a big padded seat and theirs is built it, lol.
