I think there are fair weather shooters in every club. Makes it easier to get a bench.

Lones Wigger told me he liked shooting smallbore prone in the wind and rain. A lot of other competitors just gave up. He did not.

His records prove that.

A light rain is one of my favorites especially if I'm under shelter. It shows you the wind all the way out for our longrange matches.

You think 50 yard wind can be tricky try 200, 300 or 400 yards with a rimfire. Yeah it's fun.

The last match at Rayners it was blowing the water bottle, the little salsa bowl ammo is dumped in off the table and occasionally my hat off.

Some shooters stack up early to get calm conditions, mid afternoon and it's never calm. Never an even playing field at an event but ya play the cards you're delt and do the best you can.
