Shooting 17 HMR in wind...

CZ 455 .17 HMR.

20 shots at 100 yards.
Shoot n c 6 inch Round Target.
Wind was from 10 to 15 mph with stronger gusts.

In dead calm I can usually do 1 inch at 100 yards.

looks about right. that little 17gr bullet does walk around quite a bit in the wind.

think of the bright side. there is still 15 dead squirrels on that target!

My little 87gr 243's drift 4 or 5 FEET in wind like that at 1K yds

From what clock position was the wind? I've had eight inches of drift at 125 yards with a 9 o'clock wind with a .17HMR. Your flag looks like it was blowing in line of sight.

Yup fact of 17HMR life.. I shoot Pdawgs a lot using one. If the wind is blowing I have to dope my hold. Once I figure it out I am golden, till the wind quits.. Or picks up.. All in all it usually takes a few rounds to figure it out. I have made some plus 200 yards shots a few times in the wind. After shooting for effect.
