shooters world match rifle powder ?

Been seeing more of the shooters world match rifle powder lately. How is it in 223 with 77 smk ? .. And 308 with 168 smk ? I'm assuming it wont be a very stable load because of it being a double base ball powder . Any thoughts?

Manufactured by Explosia/Lovex in the Czech Republic. I've played around with it in .223/5.56, but not with the 75/77 gr. class. It performed reasonably well with the 68/69 gr. bullets, so I would imagine that it will perform similarly with the slightly heavier bullets. Meters well and its characteristics seem similar to CFE223.

As for temp stability, I would expect some but I'm currently in Central NY and it doesn't really get hot here . . . .

I just have no experience with double base powders . Wondering if its worth a try

Double base powders are quite different from single base in practical application. Temperature sensitivity aside, double base powders tend to produce optimal results in a fairly narrow pressure range, so load work up can take more time. Their chemistry does produce more energy per unit mass, so ball powders can get you more speed but you have to work a little harder to find the right balance of speed and accuracy.

I'm not trying to talk you out of it ... I have all kinds of ball powders in my cabinet and I use them frequently.

You may have read that Shooters World powder is "similar to" the Accurate powder A2520 which I have used along with the A2460. Probably similar to the situation with RL-15 and 203B that was mentioned on this site last week.
Both are very clean burning in that narrower pressure range that JLT mentions. Very fine sperical that my Hornady LnL sometimes has a little trouble with and is subject to static charges making it 'cling' to surfaces if you haven't used a dryer sheet on your components.
On my 20" 9.3x62 it does throw a nice ball of fire on starting loads until the pressure comes up.
