I shipped mine in a Pelican case last year to Speedy, got there pretty quick, still waiting for the return! ;-)For the general public the Post Office is your best bet. Last I heard.

I’ll have to look into this. The last time I shipped an F-class barreled action it was just short of 100.00$ including 2k worth of insurance. And to be honest I’ll have to admit that with UPS’s policy's I’m not convinced they would even pay out if something happened. EThe last time I shipped via USPS it was about $60. Shipmygun has been way cheaper.
When my postmaster said the same, I asked him to show me the regs. He went away for a few minutes. Came back and helped me secure the box.issue with a post office refusing to ship a rifle
This is true. FedEx and UPS only accept firearms from registered FFLs.For the general public the Post Office is your best bet. Last I heard.
They didn't have an issue, nor did they attempt to have me arrested for entering their parking lot and facility with firearms for shipping, and they even knew what I was shipping.Correct, and that limitation applies to the parking lot as well. I just schedule them to pick up the firearm from my house when they make the mail delivery.
The people who wont ship to Califwhen I did shipmygun.com, I was very skeptical but, when you get your mailing label from them, you also get a letter from some upper level ups guy to show the counter guy authorizing this kind of shipment. I was lucky and did not have to show them anything. But I live in a more conservative area of Komifornia.
since we are on this topic of shipping, I would like to say something to the folks who refuse to ship guns to California. There are roughly 40 million people in this state, yes about 25 million are liberal pukes, that leaves 15 million conservatives that you won't sell a firearm to. 1st. of all, I have chosen to stay here and fight and you won't help me by selling me a firearm because you are trying to make a political statement. I am the one behind enemy lines. and 2nd, that's a lot of potential buyers to remove from possible sales. it's not helping to say, "no sales to Ca". you are just helping the liberals.
