Shipping a firearm with an Air tag in the package

I don't know if these can be detected by another device... Not sure if carriers can detect them or allow them.
My friends daughter had an Apple Tag in her ski back pack and it was stolen out of her friends truck. Tracked it to apartment complex ( CLT NC) Called 911 and long story but knocked on door, early 20's Latino female answered the door, she saw the bag was on coffee table. She walked in picked it up and said few items were missing and said that mine and walked out. Cops asked if she wanted to press charges. She said no and left.
 
What kind of batteries do these trackers use? A lithium battery could present a problem.
 
The apple itag (?) can be detected by your iphone if you look in the settings area. It will indicate it's not a registered itag for your phone, so you would then know someone is tracking/following you for some reason.
 
They also make noise when they’ve been away from the parent device for a certain number of hours. So take it apart and deactivate the speaker if you really want to do it.
 
They use a standard CR2032 battery. I think those are all lithium these days, but I think they're small enough to put in luggage. Don't quote me on that. But why wouldn't they be allowed? Seems like a good idea.
 
I found these this morning just down the road from my house. Appear to be “shipping containers” probably stolen and dumped the containers. F88418CF-2577-46B0-82DC-3E8F97A44EA9.jpeg
 
How do you check if there are any itags tracking you or your car?? I’m not sure how to check this on my iPhone 13 Pro???

Planning on taking one to MT in June and bring back a mess of prairie dogs for the folks back home to enjoy,,;)

Dont worry, if theres an itag around you your phone will let you know, just like itll let anybody else know so they can rip that pkg open and find it. A tile will only work with a phone around it running the tile app. I have tiles on all my kids ipads and ipods. The find my iphone feature wont work if the device is dead (which is why they lay them down to start with.)

Air Tags and Tiles are not the same.
