From what I've read it only needs to go into the ffl's books if it is going to be there over night. If it is picked back up the same day there's no need to enter it in your books as a requisition.

Machine parts?? Why! Box your parts up well, insure them, and let the USPS do their job. It ain't illegal to ship a rifle or parts by USPS.

Same way I bought them, machine parts. Unless assembled or as a part that's legally a firearm, (requiring shipment VIA FFL) they're machine parts. If they're going from owner to shop for repair they're machine parts.

Why label something as a firearm unless you have to? Some Wombat brained butt wipe will see gun and steal it.

David, a serialized(legal) action, or an illegal action, IS a firearm to the ATF (assembled or not).
