Shilen Take Off Value

Old Navy

Gold $$ Contributor
I will be rebarreling soon to a 6BRX. The barrel I am taking off is a Shilen #7 HV 6BR, 1 in 10 twist at 26". It still shoots 70 to 100 grain FB bullets in the high twos to mid threes. My smith said he would be interested in buying it. Can someone give be a ball park figure what it is worth? Thanks. Later! Frank

I'd also agree, around $150 tops. Decent factory takeoffs are going for $50 to $75, so the Shilen would be worth $150.

I couldn't see any reason to give it away. Depends on how many rounds have been down the barrel? Shilen barrels are going for around $350.00 to $400.00 + or - a bit so I would think closer to $200.00. JMHO, Mike.
