Last week I was reloading some used Fed. 308 brass. I'm sure they were fired out of a sloppy chambered gun because they were sizing kinda hard for me. Well anyway out of 50 cases 4 of them got stuck in the die. The case rim pulled out of the rcbs shell holder. What a big pain in the ass.
So I was at the gun shop the other day & picked up a Lee shell holder.
I didn't have any empty 308's but I had some 45acps to load so I used my new Lee shell holder.
Out of 360 45acp cases 5 of them wouldn't fit in the Lee shell holder but they fit in the rcbs holder.
Now I'm wondering if that's why the 308's got stuck in the die because of a loose rcbs shell holder.
Has anyone else run into this problem?
