Thinking of getting one for a build to use in 600 yard comp. would like to get some feedback from shooters who are using them Pro's and Con's fiberglass models. Thanks :D

8) I have one for my light gun and I love it I think it is the best stock design for long range shooting. can't think of anything bad except the price

ST 1000 Is a fine stock, for me however I do not care for the shape of the pistol grip. Bill Shehanes MBR Tracker is a much better design in that regard, but that is a personal opinion.

Re: Shehane ST 1000 Fiberglass Stocks

I have a fiberglass ST1000 Tracker on my BRDX with a 30" barrel. I think one of the best features of the stock is the wide 'V' on the bottom of the buttstock. We have found that this creates excellent contact with the ears of bags, making the gun more stable. I have another "long-wheelbase" Brand X stock from another good manufacturer. It has a same-width flat on the bottom. However it doesn't flare out like the Tracker -- it stays quite narrow as it rises towards the comb. With that Brand X stock, we've tried five different rear bags -- tall ears, short ears, closer spacing -- you name it. But it is far more wobbly than the Tracker -- it is really quite noticeable. I think the wide "splayed" bottom on the Tracker is very important -- and surprisingly you won't find this on many other stock designs. Here is a rear view.

I shoot one and it works. It houses a 17lb Bat B chambered in 6 Dasher and it works great. Shot a 1k BR match last weekend and it printed out this...
