sharp shooter supply DBM question

I am trying to find out if the 9 round DBM that Sharp shooter supply offers fits the Savage LRPV repeater?
I have called them for the last two weeks every day only to hear a busy tone on the phone. I have emailed two weeks ago with no reply. Business must be REALLY good or something.

I am looking to see if the mag they offer will allow me to chamber 6BR (maybe with modification) or possibly 6.5x47 in the future (if it fits the gun).

Any help would be appreciated
Jer

Go to their website and follow the directions for contacting them. Lisa will be able to answer all your questions.

Try to call then a little before lunch or a little after that. They are hard to get a hold of due to demand. If you own a Savage, Fred Moreno is the man to go to for parts and service.

I have one. Their 9rd DBM is just the factory Savage 4rd shortaction centerfeed DBM with an extended magazine box. If you have a centerfeed LRPV it should work fine. You can check by measuring the action screw spacing. The old stagger feed repeater action had a spacing of 4.275", and the new centerfeed actions have a spacing of 4.400".

BTW, the centerfeed DBM and HFP bottom metal is the same.

If you have a subscription to savageshooters.com, this article should answer all your questions.

Another option is the CDI Precision bottom metal for $209, which will let you use 10 round AICS magazines (though the max OAL you can load is a little bit less than the Savage DBM). This web site had an article about gentleman from Belgium who made the 6BR work with AICS magazines.
