Increased it 10 percent 36
Bart,
a follow-up on this and firmware v3.0.2 (minor changes from 3.0.0)
v3.0.0 I didn't have any issues with Varget after using your tuning suggestions for that, but I never could get H4350 to do well (well being 90+%).
In the past I found that doing a full factory reset seemed to help the most, so I made sure I had copied off my presets in advance so I wouldn't lose those, then did a full factory reset. I then copied over v3.0.2, my presets, the Powder.dbl (which is same as v3.0.0 had) and also copied the pf.dat into sys/ (in my case I was using a different card from previous testing so that was missing). I updated firmware and made sure my presets were showing up. As expected each requires redoing vibrator settings after fw update, no biggy.
I filled with Varget, primed the tubes, chose my preset and did the vibrator settings. auto for low, 90% for high. I then started testing and within 10-12 I was done and nearly 100%. I cleaned it out for next test.
Filled with H4350, same process except 80% for high (default is 70). Commenced testing and this took a few more overthrows before it started hitting, like 3-4?. After maybe 13-15 total throws it was at 92% and I called it good. Both powders I quit after learning turned off (no more hat). As anyone that's used the ST, this is good stuff. I can simply load cases when ready.
I didn't need to apply any tuning to either of these,
learning mode did it all which was nice for a change.
This actually mirrors what I was seeing when I was doing some testing with pre-release code, that if it's acting poorly or erractic then do a factory reset and start fresh with each new firmware release. Just remember to copy off anything you want like the presets file before you do that full reset! Well unless a person likes entering all that stuff in via the menu over and over and over ;-)
Tip for those that like lots of presets with lots of text, do yourself a favor back up your working copy, then add new ones into the file via a proper editor and simply copy the file to the card. -- JB
