I am rebarreling a Hall action with a 6mmBR barrel. I have a 250 barrel for varmints, and I want to have a barrel just for punching paper. I have a gunsmith in mind, but now I need to know what barrel to get. I'll probably be shooting between 68 and 80 grainers for that yardage. So should I go with a 1:9 or 1:12? Also what length barrel would you go with? Weight does not matter as I am not competing at this point. I had considered setting up for a 5-600 yards and shooting something in the 95 grain range, but I only shoot at that distance a few times a year. I've read about everything I can, and now just need some specific direction.
